He moved to Glendale, CA in June 2020 and has a small, welcoming office on Chevy Chase Drive, near the Glendale Adventist Hospital. Dr. Dehghani practices general and interventional cardiology with a huge focus on Evidence based medicine, tailored to his patient’s needs, one patient at a time. In addition to focusing on prevention arm of cardiology, Dr. Dehghani strongly believes in providing advanced cardiac care to the patients who have advanced ongoing cardiac conditions as well. In addition, Dr. Dehghani provides Emergency and critical level cardiac care at 3 Glendale hospitals (Glendale Adventist, Glendale Memorial and Verdugo Hills hospital). Dr. Dehghani’s office has minimal wait times. Along with his passion to provide gentle, personalized and comprehensive cardiac care to the Glendale area, Dr. Dehghani enjoys going on walks to discover Glendale neighborhoods, spending time with new and old friends and having take out from his favorite Glendale restaurant Raffi’s place.

The feeling of one’s heart racing or beating irregularly is a rather uncomfortable feeling. Palpitations have many causes from respiratory illness, to medication side effects to anxiety or thyroid disorder in addition to cardiac conditions. It is important to have expertise and vision to separate this from cardiac causes which can be as benign as some extra extra beats to much bigger problems with the electricity of the heart manifesting in very slow to very fast heart rates. Some of these heart rhythm abnormalities are truly life threatening!

Dr. Dehghani uses many tools in his arsenal to properly diagnose and rule out such conditions and manage the patients with simple lifestyle changes and reassurance in simple cases to medication and pacemaker implantation and even referral of the patients for advanced electrocardial procedures such as ablations and implantation of intracardiac defibrillator devices known as AICDs. Once pacemakers or ICDs are implanted, we follow the patients closely and have their devices checked every 3-6 months for any generator or lead malfunctions in addition for battery life and need for generator changes.
